What makes cheap daybeds as such is the fact that they are generally the size of a single bed. Meaning, you can find cheap sheets and bed spreads just about anywhere. The other thing that makes them cheap is that they could function as a couch or loveseat in your sitting room or living room, then, they can be converted to a sleeping arrangement for a guest, thus, giving you two pieces of furniture for the price of one. They come in an assortment of materials. You can get cheap daybeds with a wood frame, or metal frame and they come in a variety of colored fabric and stylish designs. They are not nearly as heavy as a sleeper sofa either, as you are probably quite aware when moving those beasts around. They are the perfect size for one person to sleep on, unless you find a twin size.
Here, there is a strict mechanical design implemented on a sofa, to make it converted into a single bed or a bunk bed at the press of a button. So, this could be a little costly, but then it requires the least physical effort.
When looking at discount metal beds, you may want to stick with aluminum, as you'll pay more for a brass bed that is probably an alloy anyway. In order to reduce cost on the manufacture of such beds, the brass will be mixed with impurities and not be true brass, which can even compromise the strength and solidity of the metal, making it softer or more malleable. Neither of these properties is especially desirable in a bed of any kind. Aluminum, being less expensive anyway, will usually be as sturdy in discount beds as in higher-end models.Cat Beds
